International Harvester Scout

Though the last production International Harvester Scout rolled out of its Fort Wayne, Indiana factory in 1980, there remains a small but loyal group of fans, owners and collectors dedicated to its following. International Harvester primarily manufactured tractors and commercial trucks, and the Scout was built to be rugged and reliable. The Scout only had two doors and came in various hardtop and soft-top configurations during its 19 year production run, and with 4WD capabilities, it was one of the forefathers of the modern day SUV. Scouts in various stages of restoration need, from barn finds to stock restorations can be found on eBay Motors and websites specializing in Scouts. If you’ve had any thoughts of finding a classic truck to restore or simply own, we suggest you give the Scout a serious look before you go and do something rash.
