Topeak Bikamper Bicycle Tent

We’re big fans of Survivorman’s Les Stroud, but in the event we ever got stranded out in the middle of nowhere with just our bicycle, instead of deconstructing it to create shelter (not that we could even if we tried), we’d be in much better shape with the Topeak Bikamper Bicycle Tent (available at Amazon.com for $194). Using either a 26” mountain or 700c road front wheel instead of tent poles, the Topeak Bikamper is a one-person camping shelter weighing just over 2lbs that packs down into a compact and light stuff sack that you can attach to your handlebars. The Bikamper’s body is constructed of water-resistant, urethane-coated 45D ripstop nylon and the fly is made of fully waterproofed 70D ripstop nylon for an additional layer of protection against inclement weather. And if the night happens to be clear, with three mesh windows, you’ll have plenty of ventilation and prime access to stargazing as you fall asleep snug and secure in your Bikamper Tent.
